WILLY WONKA BECOMES PART OF CHARLIE'S FAMILY AFTER PATCHING THINGS UP WITH HIS DENTIST FATHER IN THE END!!
And let me tell you something. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory diverges so badly from the book in so many ways. . . And there are no references to Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory at all(which is fine, seeing as this version was based on the book, but darkened up a little as only Tim Burton could manage). The DVD had this thing on the actor who played all the Oompa Loompas, though. It was freaking great. I feel so sorry for that guy now. XD Also, Wonka is so god damned scary in this movie, and I finally know why at the end. In this incarnation, he simply never grew up. Nothing more. Like Pierrot Le Fou from that one episode of Cowboy BeBop, but without all the sciency crap and dementia.(Though coinsidently, CatCF has plenty of demented stuff.)

Yea, i saw that recently. We just bought the dVd a few days ago.
It was awesome, and Johnny depp is a kickass actor.

Darkened it up? Dude, the books were pretty dark. But yeah, it does diverge from the book, but not as bad as the original Wonka Movie. I mean hell, it even had the freakin songs from the book! I squealed like a little girl when I first heard them singing them. I especially loved Mike Teevee's song with the Freddy Mercury Oompa Loompa.
But yeah, I am kinda creeped out with the whole manchild angle they did for Wonka.

How they did the songs in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was pure genius. I, too, was quite happy to see the original songs appear in the movie. Too bad they screwed-up the storyline so much that would make a Charlie and the Glass Elevator movie so impossible to do. >_>;

In The Outlander Series, Claire gets pregnant, goes back to present time, has baby, baby grows up, finds out that her real dad is from the past, and claire goes back to find Jamie, and then Claire and her lover boi end up going as well. =P

Thats pretty much the whole book right there, I think it's Drums of Autumn...or...dragonfly in amber?
Meh, I don't even think half of ya'll have heard of it. Good reading though.

Is it wrong for me to find Johnny Depp yummy in this movie? I'm not quite sure. The whole thing was hot to me. But then again, Corpse Bride was just as hot, in a poetic kind of way.
